César Rodríguez-Garavito is Director and Founding Member of Dejusticia. He is an Associate Professor and Director of the Program on Global Justice and Human Rights at the University of the Andes. He has been a visiting professor at Stanford University, Brown University, the University of Pretoria (South Africa), the Getulio Vargas Foundation (Brazil), Central European University (Budapest), the Åbo Academy of Human Rights (Finland), and the Andean University of Quito. He serves in the editorial boards of the Annual Review of Law and Social Science and OpenGlobalRights, as well as in the executive board of Fundar Mexico. He writes a weekly op-ed for El Espectador and monthly blog posts for openGlobalRights. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. (Sociology) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.A. from NYU’s Institute for Law and Society, an M.A. (Philosophy) from the National University of Colombia, and a J.D. from the University of the Andes.
